Eat. Drink. Gather. When 17 Public Square was created we set a goal of becoming part of the fabric of both the Historic Medina Square and the whole county. We're locally owned and locally operated and you'll see local folks both working here and enjoying our restaurant. Our atmosphere, eclectic menu and friendly staff are in the true gastro-pub tradition - we have choices that are comfort food with a twist and that are affordable for all. The building we are in has been a staple of the square since the mid-1800's and you'll enjoy our wall of history and quaint Cellar Gathering Room. We've put together a hospitality team that excels and strives to make your 17 Public Square experience the best it can be.
Chef Ryan Kasson created our menu with attention to flavors and fine locally sourced ingredients. A previous member of Chef Michael Symon's restaurant group, Chef Ryan has brought his own top flight fare to Medina with enthusiasm. You'll find Ryan hands-on in our kitchen directing the preparation of every meal that's served with care. His preparation of house made sausage can be found in our Italian Sausage Sandwich and our Stuffed Banana Peppers, usually made with locally grown Medina County peppers too. The dressings and sauces you'll enjoy are also house made and created fresh daily.
Please don't hesitate to say hello when you drop in, Chef Ryan is a local and loves to meet diners for a quick chat.
